I’m so proud of my son! This is just a little sample size of what he now does with scissors. I remember a time when he had no interest at all in holding scissors, but now, he’s literally cutting squares, triangles, and circles and getting pretty darn good at it! So what happened along the ways to get him to this point. It was lots of repetition and most importantly consistency. Also, if you aren’t connected to your Occupational Therapist through the school or your outside provider, I would highly advise you to do so because those people are really the ones you can lean on to improve your child’s fine motor skills. It’s made a big difference thus far in Calaeb’s progress! Keep it up Calaeb.
